The idea of Stjärnbarn was born when I wanted to give a unique gift for my sister’s newly born son. The concept eventually developed into a startup company called Little Great that I co-founded together with two former classmates of mine. The company was managed during our spare time in parallel with our day-to-day jobs.

The concept is in its simplicity based on the 12 zodiacal sign in Western astrology. Each sign is represented by a loveable figure with certain characteristics and that can be customized in terms of clothing, skin color, name and other individual information. Our primary concept vision was to add character and personality to be represented in the interior design of a child room. We also aimed for the customers to interact and customize their own Stjärnbarn characters by making individual choices on design and information. Our products have become a popular gift choice amongst Swedish families. Our main sales channels have been our webshop as well as both physical and online retailers.
