Gococo is a Swedish provider of functional sportswear, namely socks. They needed help to update and also obtain a new design of their workbook for 2019. Gococo’s requirement was to maintain their sleek design and yet at the same time being able to convey their approach “designed by athletes for athletes”. I had access to their entire graphics library and it was up to me to choose the environment to be used. I created a unique filter that was applied on all the photos that I used. Thereby obtaining a uniform design that was pervasive throughout the entire workbook.
Based on Gococo’s brief I found it most applicable to design the photos in a somewhat “colder” approach and also strengthen the contrast. I experimented with typography and landed into a choice that could highlight headings and quotes with bold typography.
The response from Gococo was a success. The design was in accordance with their beliefs and values and Gococo was content about the sleek but still athletic design as desired. The new workbook where thereafter printed and used digital.
